I AM proud of your FUNN thread! I've never had a nickname except for the summer when I was about 10 years old. My boy cousin nicknamed me "Picky" because I was always picking on my scabs.

My brother still calls me Bean, I'm not exactly a beanpole anymore but I think it's kind of sweet. I have a name that can't be shortened (Tina) and named my daughter a long name so she can have a nickname if she wants. Samantha- I call her Sam her friends call her Sammi.

That's funny....some of my friends and I became "blood sisters" that way. Gross.
