Or if you had the chance to do it all over again- what would you wear?:dunno:

So, I just came home from a Rep Rally meeting- (the fundraiser for the Seaside Repertory Theatre is just about 2 weeks away!)- and the discussion turned to "what to wear". It was fun working on acquiring the perfect prom dress last year, and I am looking forward to seeing what everyone come ups with for this year!

Were you a jock? Prep? Frat boy? Sorority girl? Cheerleader? Stoner? Geek? Party animal? Artsy Fartsy? Drama? Goth?

I started off reeeeeaaallllly preppy, finished out half hippie. It was all about jeans- basic levis (and still is:lol:).

So I need a few ideas- I would love to wear something other than my usual uniform of jeans! Pictures are a plus--

I wore anything that didn't clash with the funnel and the keg. ;-)

Seriously, though. Straight legged Levi's, the tighter the better, and t-shirts. (The t-shirts came in handy for the impromptu wet t-shirt contests at the frat houses). Yes, there are SOME things I regret about my college days.

Who knows...by the end of the night, you may not be wearing anything...

My college attire wasn't much different than my current attire, except I looked better in them. I left for Tally wearing Surf Hut, Islander and Seagrove/Grayton Beach surf T-shirts and came back wearing Florida State t-shirts. Blue jeans (usually Lee or Levis) or white or khaki shorts if it was hot. We country/beach girls laughed at the people who were from the cities and their styles.

The shorts of the early '80s were not as short, or tight, as they are now...

My college attire was a bit unfortunate -- We started out with Bow belts and duckhead shorts (boys of course), then moved into Umbros and party t-shirts. Also loved huge bows in our hair -- like the ones made from scarfs and pearls with our sorority letter shirts. (I often site these last few items as the reason my roommates and I all had baby boys -- we had used up all of our girlie-ness!!) Any type of cutoffs were great -- khaki and jeans -- double points if they were mens. Rapunzel actually had the best pair of jean cutoffs that I still covet to this day. When we dressed up it was plaid short skits with tights. LL Bean Anoraks were HUGE. I feel like there were some defining shoes but I can't remember for the life of me. I do remember wearing running shoes ALL THE TIME.

In high school and undergrad school I was a fashion model. So I dressed like Hippie-Meets-Saks-Fifth-Avenue. Mom bought me anything I wanted. I was a GDI -- sororities were too preppy and conformist for me.

In grad school Big D and I were married and living off TA/RA incomes. So my fashion style was jeans, Gator t-shirts, and flip-flops.

Then after my Ph.D. when I was working on another masters degree, we had some money, and my best friend has old Charleston/Flat Rock money. She was preppy, so I emulated her old money look, complete with lots of nice jewelry.

I wouldn't change anything.

I was married for most of my college days. The first year I and my friends would roll out of bed, throw a scarf on our bed head and go to class. After I married I guess I just wore jeans :dunno: I didn't care about impressing.

Started out really preppy too....grosgrain ribbon belts, pappagallo purse with the wooden
handle and 4 buttons and changeable covers, lacoste shirts, khaki shorts or jeans. Left (Rollins)
after 2 yrs and went to U of F with jeans, jeans, jeans and flip flops. Lots of Rollins girls wore Lily P.
sundresses....not me, grew up with my Mom in Lily P. "moo-moos" though! Sounds like a fun theme
for a fundraiser:) You'll have to let us know how you dressed!
