Walton/NWFLDailyNews... really??

Anyone else noticed that when you click on just about ANY story on the Walton Sun page you now get a notice the you are over the 5 story limit of the Daily news allotment? I realize they are "sister sites", but $119 a year ??

I just subscribe to DeFuniak Herald/Beach Breeze for local news in my mailbox. Also Walton Sun, but not sure why.

Glad someone else is getting that message too. Going directly to their site is usually a good workaround.

I understand they are a business, but $119 is ridiculous.

If you have Google Chrome, you can activate the pop up blocker and that is supposed work. I don't have chrome, so it didn't work for me.

Any story they link to that was published in the Daily News or News Herald will trigger the payment demand. I did complain to the Sun on their FB page and got a song and dance excuse. They recommended subscribing to the Daily News online for $7.99 a month. Umm, thanks but no thanks. I'd much rather waste $7.99 a month on bad 80's movies on Netflix.
