County Planning Department is advising
residents and businesses of a scam
involving fraudulent emails that falsely
claim to be sent from the Walton County
Planning Department.
The false emails are originating from the
following address: planningdepartmentwaltoncounty@usa.com. That address is not
affiliated with Walton County, Florida or the Walton County Planning Department.
Please be advised that ALL legitimate Walton County Planning Department
invoice-related emails will be generated from “donotreply@co.walton.fl.us” and
all other Walton County email addresses will always end with
“@mywaltonfl.gov.” Any other email addresses or domains should be considered
suspicious.
We appreciate the public’s vigilance and encourage anyone who may have received
one of these fraudulent emails to contact us at the number listed below and avoid
clicking on any links or providing any personal information.
The Planning Department takes this matter seriously and wants to ensure that
Walton County citizens are not being scammed or misled by communications
falsely claiming to originate from our office.

were not expecting it—or if you are unsure of its authenticity—you are encouraged
