SHARKS

El lagarto was the name coined by the Spanish explorers and early settlers of Florida who came upon the American Alligator. These giant "lizards" live in or near almost every water body in Florida and have fascinated people for many years. Learn more about these sunbathing cold-blooded critters. BREAKFAST WITH A RANGER
Saturday, Oct. 8, 9 to 10 a.m.
Breakfast with a Ranger and ask them all the questions you can think of about park life. This program is fun for the kids and ideal for the whole family to enjoy. To cover the cost of food, please bring $4, which goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Inc. to enhance the park or bring your own breakfast. 5TH ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL
Friday & Saturday, Oct. 21 & 22, 6 to 10 p.m.
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park’s 5th Annual Haunted Hay Ride and Fantasyland. A fully-frightening Hay Ride for adults and children over 12 for $5 a person, or Fantasy Land for the younger children with fun games with prizes and face painting for a $1. Drinks and food available; donations will be accepted with all of the proceeds going to The Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Inc.
