Turtle Express ends shuttle on 30A for the summer... Plans for next summer!

The Turtle Express ended its inaugural run on Labor Day after transporting 4000 passengers along Scenic 30A this summer. Sunshine Shuttle is planning 4 Turtle trams next summer with stops between Gulf Place and Shades (Inlet Beach).

The Turtle Express is privately funded by local businesses. The service is free and intended to allow visitors to park their cars for the duration of their stay by riding the Turtle daily from 11am to midnight.

When we were there, their gps was not working so we couldn't check their app for their location. We thought about boarding at Seaside but didn't want to just ride it. So we drove to Grayton Beach bar & grill to try it for the first time. Fun idea. Hope they can bring it back. Especially when you like to park and not drive once you arrive.
Not sure when we will return. Always looking forward to it. Ellen

I rode it and had a blast. This needs to be supported by the community to work and once it encompasses all of 30A it will quickly become THE transportation method.

We didn't ride it. It doesn't go to our neighborhood -- it would be a two-mile walk to Whiskey Bravo to catch it. Hope it was successful this year and thus can have a wider range than it did this year.
