Grab a blanket and come on out Friday, Sep. 23 at 8 p.m. to the Seaside Amphitheater and enjoy the classic South Walton film set in Seaside, Florida - The Truman Show. Free and open to the public.
The film was shot in Seaside 15 years ago, with its first screening in June 1998. The Truman Show is an important piece of Seaside history. Not only did it help bring fame to the New Urbanist beach community, but it also contributed significantly to the town’s funds as the production helped to revitalize the local economy. In addition, the site fees received for hosting The Truman Show set helped finance the construction of the Seaside Neighborhood School.
