Something fun for everyone happening in April at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park - check out the April tours! Note: Outside tours cancel during severe weather.

Every Tuesday in April – Campfire Chat | 6pm
Campfire chat in the amphitheater. Join Ranger Fred next to the fire pit to share stories, ask questions, and make friends every Tuesday night.

Every Thursday Night - Americana Under the Stars | 6pm– 8:30pm
Starting at 6pm in the amphitheater Topsail presents an evening of music. The April line up is:
4/4 Lucky Mud
4/11 Larry Mangum
4/18 Ron Johnson
4/25 Bryan Kennedy
Free admission into park and a suggested donation of $5 goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill. Bring a chair, your favorite beverage and enjoy some music in the park. This is family/pet friendly and fun for all ages.

Saturday April 6th, 2013 - Coastal Critters | 2:00pm
This is a hands-on program where you will learn what type of creatures can be found in this area. This program includes both sea and land critters, and is fun for all ages.

Wednesday April 10th, 2013 - Sea Turtles | 2:00pm
The majestic Sea Turtles are getting ready to begin another reproductive season. Last year was one of the best on record at the park. Learn the facts about common Sea Turtles at Topsail. Be a part of an enlightening program and see what you can do to help preserve these awe inspiring creatures of the sea. Park at the Day-Use area on Hwy 30A and take a short walk with park staff to the clubhouse

Saturday April 13th, 2013 - Breakfast With a Ranger | 9:00am
Join the Rangers of Topsail Hill to learn about the park, its history and to ask them all the questions you can think of about the park, its wildlife and anything in between. This program is ideal for the whole family to enjoy. To cover the cost of food, please bring $5, which goes to Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park to enhance the park or bring your own breakfast.

Friday April 19th, 2013 - Coastal Dune Lake Hike | 2:00pm
Coastal dune lakes are extremely unique and rare worldwide. Come join us as we hike through some of Topsail's best ecosystems culminating with a stop at Campbell Lake.

Saturday April 20th, 2013 - Earth Day Festival & 5K Run | 9am-5pm
The University of Florida IFAS Extension Office, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, and the Friends of Topsail Hill are coordinating this event to celebrate the unique ecological treasures in Walton County and encourage local citizens to become involved in or take action on environmental issues. Come out and join us for door prizes, children's activities, educational games, music, food and fun for all ages. Many environmental agencies, local artists, and area businesses will be on hand to educate and entertain festival-goers. The festival kicks off with a Ocean Hour Beach Clean Up from 9-10am. From 10am-3pm there will be cooking demonstrations, ranger led hikes, and many hands-on experiences for all ages. The 5K race will begin at 5pm and the course takes you to the shores of Campbell Lake. Saturday April 27th, 2013 - Prescribed Fire Hike | 1:30pm
This hike will focus on the effects of fire in our ecosystem. The hike will cover four area types, unburned, year old burn, recent burn, and the effects of wildfire. You will get to see how fire affects our landscape and how we use it as a tool in our management of the land.

All programs require a $6 entry admission into the park except: Breakfast with a Ranger, Americana Under the Stars, and Earth Day Festival.
