Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is a wonderful place to explore any day of the year. Mark your calendar and make plans to attend some of the weekly park rangers programs coming up in February at this Florida State Park locatedon the west end of Scenic 30A in South Walton.

Saturday February 8 | 9am - 10:30am
Breakfast with a Ranger
Topsail Hill invites you and your family to Breakfast with a Ranger. Join the Rangers of Topsail Hill to learn about the park, its history and to ask them all the questions you can think of about the park its wildlife and anything in between. This program is ideal for the whole family to enjoy. To cover the cost of food, please bring $5, which goes to Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park to enhance the park or bring your own breakfast.


Saturday February 15 | 2pm - 3pm
Exotics
Come learn about our non-native plant visitors. You may have some right in your own back yard, this program will teach you how to identify and get rid of plants that do not belong. Lots of time and money are spent on eradication of these plants, find out how you can help. Park entry fee is $6 per vehicle; the program will take place at the clubhouse.


Saturday February 22 | 2pm - 3pm
Bears
Please come to an informational program on the Florida Black Bear. This program will cover the basics of the bear’s life in Florida, such as life span, denning habits, eating habits, and much more. This will be an all ages program and will take place in the clubhouse. Park entry fee is $6 per vehicle; park staff will direct you to the clubhouse upon entering the park


Saturday March 1 | 3pm - 4pm
Campfires
Topsail Hill Preserve invites you to learn about campfires. This all ages program will take place outside around the campfire ring at the amphitheater. You will learn safety, cooking techniques, and a host of other useful ideas. Park entry fee is $6 per vehicle, park staff will direct you to the clubhouse parking lot upon entering the park.

Americana Under the Stars takes place every Thurs night with live music performances in the park! Find out about February lineup at SoWal Live Music Calendar.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park offers a wide variety of natural resources including 3.2 miles of secluded, white sand beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall. Three rare coastal dune lakes provide excellent freshwater fishing. Although boats are not allowed, fishing from the shoreline yields bass, bream, panfish, and catfish. Lakes, pristine beaches, old-growth long leaf pines, sand pine scrub, and a variety of wetlands offer a bird-watching and hiking paradise. Visitors may bike, walk, or enjoy a quick ride to the beach on our timely tram service to swim, fish, sunbathe, or beachcomb. Gregory E. Moore RV resort features a (non-heated) swimming pool and shuffleboard courts. Furnished bungalows are available for weekly stays. A camp store offers a variety of camping items, as well as snacks and drinks.
