Grayt Coffee House in Grayton Beach hosted an open house last Friday night and it was a huge success! Grayton Beach Catering provided the spread of smoked amberjack with a choice of brown butter caper sauce or lemon dill sauce, Wickle Pickles, gouda, dill havarti, and sharp cheddar. The fresh amberjack was smoked that day with fresh herbs from the garden. Grayt BBQ martinis, which consisted of cole slaw topped with smoked pork, BBQ sauce, and mandarin oranges, were passed by servers. Wine, beer, and champagne were all available and the event was free of charge. Individual carafes of milk with chocolate chip cookies were passed after dinner which added the perfect touch to the night.
The merchandise on display ranged from t-shirts, ornaments, and coffee mugs to tea, local honey, local music, and photography by Shelly Swanger. These items are available now and when you check out, you will receive a card that will get you 10%, 20%, or $50 off! Original art by Kay Brown and Franko "Washboard" Jackson was on display. The beautiful Christmas tree was covered with items for purchase. Gift bags were ready to go and labeled.
The photo booth was such a fun touch. Cheri Peebles, the owner of Grayt Coffee House, brought in hats, glasses, and props so families could get together and pose for their Christmas picture.
