I didn't know where to post this, but it may fit here. A friend of mine (and of ratherbepaddlin's) was diagnosed with ALS in 2008 and 6 women will be swimming the English channel to try to beat the world record and raise awareness and money for ALS. Here is an inspiring video about Bob, the 6 women (one who was diagnosed with breast cancer in March and will still be swimming), and the challenge ahead. I'm spreading the word because it's such an inspiring story and because it sure would be fantastic to find a cure for ALS.

It's amazing what people can and will do for others!
Ratherbpaddlin - you'll appreciate seeing Bob and Gretchen and their kids.
