We're recognizing two divisions of incredible SWFD men and women during National EMS Week (May 19-25) and National Beach Safety Week (May 20-27).
Whether serving in a lifeguard tower, fire engine, or ambulance, our personnel understand the daily expectations of the community, as well as the inherent risks of their job. At the basis of their skillsets to enter the water or fight fires, our personnel are also trained medical professionals.
Medical incidents are not always as heavily publicized due to the sensitive nature of the calls, but they are the backbone of what we do. We are so proud to witness firsthand how our Advanced Life Support crews and lifeguards work together to provide seamless care and strive for the best patient outcome possible.
It is our privilege to honor our personnel this week, share safety information with the community, and build morale ahead of the busy summer season. Thank you for your support!
