#SWFDNews | The South Walton Fire District

Pancake Breakfast fundraiser returns October 4, 2025, for the 11th year with plans to serve hundreds of pancakes and a side of family-friendly fun.

The event celebrates National Fire Prevention Week and will take place 8 to 11 a.m. at SWFD’s Fire Station 3, at 911 N. County Highway 393 in Santa Rosa Beach. The community is invited to enjoy $5 all-you-can-eat pancakes, with the option for children eight years old and younger to eat for free.

“This is our chance to welcome our community into our home,” said SWFD Fire Marshal Sammy Sanchez. “Fire Prevention Week is one of the biggest campaigns for the fire service, so this is our chance to build our connection with the community, enjoy breakfast alongside them, and remind them that we truly care.”

Family-friendly activities planned for the morning include emergency vehicle tours, a junior firefighter combat challenge, a bounce house, face painting, live fire demonstrations, and appearances of the SWFD Fire Pup mascot.

The money raised through the event will benefit SWFD’s Fire Prevention and Community Risk Reduction Programs, such as free smoke alarm giveaways and education initiatives.

“We look forward to this event every fall just like so many of our residents and visitors do,” said SWFD Fire Chief Ryan Crawford. “One improvement for the 2025 event is an online registration option, so please take advantage of that opportunity and be sure to join us on October 4 to celebrate Fire Prevention Week.”

As a reminder to all attendees: Only northbound traffic is permitted on County Highway 393 due to construction work. Please follow the local detours in place, be mindful of other motorists, and drive with care.
