I just wanted to inform any of you that might be employers that you will be getting notices in the mail telling you that your State Unemployent Tax will be going up Jan. 1 2010. For some it may be mild but for most businesses it will double and triple. This is due to the high unemployment in florida and our funds pool being dry. Since the only money that funds unemployment benefits comes from SUTA taxes, then they have to raise your taxes to meet the demand. It doesnt help that unemployment benefits have been extended for up to almost 2 years!??? That doesnt help either!
