Thought I would post some info on my attempts to find the artificial reef from a kayak launched from Grayton beach. Spent the first two days this week looking for it but no luck. On a calm day during the middle of the day I finally located it. I made note of some landmarks and thought I'd pass them along.

If you launch from Grayton just start paddling East toward the state park. Once you get close to the State Park walkover you will see what looks like a telephone pole.

The first one is closest to the state park building. Count the poles going back toward Grayton. Pole 1 (closest to park building) then pole #2 and finally pole #3 (closet to Grayton of the three poles). Paddle close to shore and split the difference between pole #1 and pole #2 so you are about directly between them. Paddle away from shore in as straight of a line as possible. Keep looking slighty to your right and you will see several dark objects close together on the bottom. You've found it! If in a kayak bring a small anchor and a diver down flag.

Calm days are better. There were many small fish and two days ago lots of jelly fish but zero today.

Look forward to seeing the reef develop. Will be back for sure!

Thanks for posting the info here. I was wondering what people were seeing out / down there. Looking forward to this in the spring.
