Alaqua Animal Refuge and growEntertainment team up for a special fundraiser for Alaqua – a CD single song called ‘Let Me Come Home’

growEntertainment is pleased to announce a special fundraiser project for Alaqua Animal Refuge – a no kill animal shelter located in Walton County, Florida A portion of the proceeds from the CD fundraiser campaign will go towards improving and re-opening Bark Park, Walton County’s popular Dog Park located in South Walton County. “Let Me Come Home”, a song inspired by Alaqua Animal Refuge and Founder Laurie Hood, has been written and recorded by artist Donnie Sundal. The CD cover is graced with original paintings by Heidi Pitre, a renowned New Orleans artist. The song was a labor of love and a family affair. Donnie, Jennifer, and their daughter Ally were all involved with the creation of the song. “Big D” Perkins and Mike Kent also lent their musical talents to the song on the single track. We hope this song will be a keepsake for animal lovers everywhere and are proud that Alaqua is an inspiration right here in our back yard. We want the Alaqua CD project to help raise money for the shelter and specifically for Bark Park which Alaqua has recently taken over from Walton County. It was closed recently and will reopen with the help of everyone in the community. Beginning Monday, May 23rd, you can begin purchasing the CD online at www.letmecomehome.com. It will also be available at select retail outlets in the area and at Alaqua events throughout the year. There really is no expiration to the shelf life of the project – it will be an on-going way for Alaqua to make money. Posters will also be distributed in multiple counties informing everyone about the project.

A special CD release party for the Alaqua Fundraiser Project will be held at the NAKED GRAPE WINE BAR in Gulf Place on Scenic Highway 30-A on Saturday, May 28th from 7:30pm – 10:30pm. Donnie Sundal and Big D Perkins will be performing the song throughout the evening. $10 admission includes the new CD and a portion of the proceeds go to Alaqua!
