Join Sinfonia Gulf Coast's Classical Connections Series features violinist Alexi Kenney on Saturday, February 2 at Village Baptist Church in Destin, Florida. Tickets are available at sinfoniagulfcoast.org.
Join Sinfonia Gulf Coast as they host the second installment of the Silver Sands Premium Outlets’ Classical Connections Series. This concert features 2016 recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant Alexi Kenney, one of the most exhilarating young violinists on the concert scene today. His win at the 2013 Concert Artists Guild Competition at the age of nineteen led to a critically-acclaimed Carnegie Hall debut recital in Weill Hall, and subsequent appearances with major orchestras around the country such as the Detroit, California, and Indianapolis Symphonies. Kenney will perform Erich Korngold’s “Concerto for Violin, op. 35, D major”. Also on the program is the world premiere of the full orchestration of “Orchids Grow Here” by Dorothy Hindman and Antonin Dvořák’s masterpiece “Symphony No. 9, op. 95, E minor” (From the New World).
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Alexi Kenney at the post concert reception located at The Henderson in Destin.
