Are there any special events going on in September/October that I could plan a girl's weekend around?

Date not set yet as far as I know but Halloween costume party at Caliza pool in Alys Beach is a blast. It was Halloween weekend last year and the weekend before Halloween the year before that as I recall.

A girls trip? What could be better than the Seaside Community Yard Sale? I hope that is is back in the fall- amphitheater construction canceled it in February. Shop from 8-1, lazy lunch, hit the beach and nap, out to dinner- voila!
