One of South Walton's most popular events, the Seaside Half Marathon, 5K Run and race Pre-Party is coming around again the first weekend in March. Seaside's Half Marathon and 5K Run, established in 2003 to raise funds for the Seaside Neighborhood School, has become a huge community affair, drawing more than 3,000 runners from around the world.

March 2 | Race Participants Packet Pick-up & Free Expo 12-6pm
Lyceum and Seaside Neighborhood School, race participants can pick up their race packets and everyone can enjoy an Expo that's FREE and will offer a wide variety of equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories for the whole family. You'll find a great selection of merchandise at great prices!
March 3 | Half Marathon 7am | 5K 7:20am
Seaside Post Office
Race followed by post race party with picnic-style food, door prizes, awards ceremony & 30A Silent Auction. Male and female winners of the Half Marathon race receive a 2-night stay at the luxurious WaterColor Inn and Resort on the Gulf, along with a special wine goblet designed and created by glass artist Russ Gilbert of Fusion Art Glass.
There is still a need for adult volunteers to man intersections during the Seaside Half Marathon and 5K Run from 6:30am until 10:30am. Please contact the school at 231-0396. Free T-shirt and lunch for all volunteers.
