Come see the new Seaside Assembly Hall building and the new Academic Village! nstitute is very excited to present its unique arts event that celebrates the beauty of our town through plein air painting.
Plein air painting captures the atmosphere of the moment. The majority of the painting must be done on location and is a true test of ones skill as an artist. It requires utmost confidence in every brush stroke and placement of color in a small window of time. A sunset may last a few moments—and that’s all the time the artist has to capture the entire scene.
The artists who will be visiting Seaside for the week will stay in the recently completed Seaside Academic Village.
This beautiful watercolor painting can be yours! It will be raffled off on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Seaside Institute Assembly Hall Grand Opening event. Purchase tickets on site or online. Proceeds will benefit the Seaside Neighborhood School garden.
