GRAND WINE TASTING

5-8 P.M. FRIDAY & 1-5 P.M. SATURDAY AT THE VILLAGE OF BAYTOWNE WHARF

The pouring of hundreds of domestic and international wines makes for a grand event indeed. Representatives from vineyards from across the globe will be available to entertain questions, offering a rare opportunity to learn about the finest appellations from all major producing countries in all varieties, styles and price ranges. Visit the Culinary Pavilion and sample delicious fare paired with wines.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is always open to the public. Even during special events, guests are welcome to visit the shops and merchants. Non drinking festival guests are welcome to attend the Grand Wine Tasting with their friends at no charge--they will not receive a wristband or tasting glass. Must be at least 21 years of age to taste wines.

28th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival | Apr. 10-13, 2014
Sandestin Wine Festival takes place every April throughout The Village of Baytowne Wharf. The event is the most established and continuously running wine festival on the Gulf coast and known as the “Kentucky Derby of Wine Festivals.” Always a picture perfect event complete with white tents, grand wine tastings, culinary experiences and live music.

Guests are invited to uncork some fun in the sun and see why the Sandestin Wine Festival is one of the most beloved wine festivals on the coast. Four days of unique events will include the following:


Thursday, April 10
Wine dinners and specially prepared menus paired with wines at Baytowne restaurants.


Friday, April 11
Grand Wine Tasting 5-8 p.m. The pouring of hundreds of domestic and international wines makes for a grand event in The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Delicious food pairings during the Grand Tasting prepared by region’s hottest chefs.


Saturday, April 12
Grand Wine Tasting 1-5 p.m.
The second Grand Tasting day is another chance to taste from a variety of domestic and international wines and experience culinary delights.


Sunday, April 13
Sunday Brunch by the Bay with scenic marina bay views, live music and delicious Sunday brunch featuring champagne selections.

Retail Tent
After visiting the festival, head to the Retail Tent and purchase your favorite wines without ever leaving the event.

Retail tent is open from 2pm-9pm Friday and 10am-8pm on Saturday and 10-2pm on Sunday. Located at the Baytowne Marina.


Sandestin Wine Festival proceeds will benefit children in need through the Sandestin Foundation for Kids, and Fisher House, a home-away-from-home for the Military families of seriously ill or injured patients.

Join Senior Fine Wine Specialist, Michael Rugers, for a fun, yet educational, evening of food and wine pairing exercises.Taste four different grape varieties that will be paired with a small taste of fruit, assorted cheese, meat and chocolate. You will be amazed at how the flavors of the wine and food completely change. Friday, April 11 at 4pm.
