[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host its ninth annual community Health Fair on Saturday, March 3 from 8 to 11 a.m. in the main colonnade of the hospital.
Community members are encouraged to take advantage of free health screenings, including glucose and cholesterol, blood pressure, heel scans for osteoporosis, body-fat analysis, pulse oxygen, skin cancer spot checks by a dermatologist, hearing tests and more. Walk-ins are welcome, and there is no need to pre-register.
During the event, area physicians and program coordinators will share information highlighting a number of health-related topics, including women's health, medication safety, diabetes, diagnostic testing, joint replacement, rehabilitation, cancer and osteoporosis.
Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is a 58-bed hospital located just east of Destin in Miramar Beach. Since opening its doors to patient care in January 2003, the not-for-profit hospital has grown steadily and continues to fulfill its mission to improve the health of the community at large, with special attention to service of the poor.
