With nearly 20 years as a creative professional in General Market and Multicultural marketing, George has garnered multiple Local and National ADDY awards in a variety of disciplines, as well as several Telly Awards for National Broadcast commercials.
Cultural Marketing is really about pulling back the proverbial curtain to reveal the nuances that trigger emotional connections consumers have with a brand. Memories, experiences, and traditions can commonly be associated with a product/service that has innately become as much a part of that memory than the action itself, even how the product is used becomes interwoven into a cultural experience and is often passed down generationally. We'll explore how the lines between marketing and anthropology are beginning to blur, and that language may connect individuals but it doesn't define an entire community.
