Wasn't sure what section to post this in so since it involves a sport I the sport one and add it to the general discussion too. I thought I would share this story as I learned about it from my college rowing coach who is on the board of directors for this journey.
For those who are rowers (or ex rowers) you should already know about the incredible journey of Paul Ridley. For those who are not rowers (or don't know the story), but want to be inspired by a great cause please check out his journey, rowing alone 2,950 miles accross the Atlantic to raise money to find a cure for cancer. Read about his story, the loss of his mother, and the adventure on Row For Hope. Then donate to the cause if you feel compelled. Along with feeling inspired by his crazy undertaking, you can also read his daily blog that he has kept via satallite phone throught out is 71 days at sea thus far. He has inspired elemetary children, celebrities, and everyday people to follow his journey and support the cause. If nothing else read his blogs and you can post your own comments to him as well.
Below is a challenge I got from Paul's blog today!! Lot's of support and love for Paul, his family, and his cause. Check it out!!

A Challenge to the Rowing Community
Do you row? Have you rowed? Do you know someone who rows? If so, here's a special challenge to you!
Taking inspiration from Paul Ridley's incredible solo row across the Atlantic, Bob Glendening has generously offered to match all new donations to Row For Hope from members of the rowing community. His generosity also stems from his family's devotion to rowing and its personal experience with cancer. The Glendening Boat House at Colgate was given by the family in 2004 in memory of his mother who lost her battle with cancer in 2000.
So if you row and you want to show your support for a fellow rower who's crossing the Atlantic solo and unsupported, please consider an online donation to Row For Hope.
Please be sure to add "Glendening Challenge" when completing the Gift Information section online at Row For Hope.
Thanks, Bob!

I hope you all enjoy this site and keep up with Paul Ridley. I am sure we will see lots more of him when he gets back home.
Thanks!!
Brooke
