There's probably no household chore as bad as cleaning the grill...I put if off indefinitely...

We used to cook on campfires on the ground, so who knows what was down there. I never worried about it. Just heat up the grill really good and go for it.

RE: Charge

How much do you charge to clean an average sized gas grill?
PapaJ and Furymom, Thanks for inquiring about our service! The charge will depend on the size and style of the grill. Give us a call at 850-687-0787 and we can usually get you a quote over the phone.

Leader of the Banned, when you cook with your grill, you usually close the lid and the heated air will circulate all throughout the grill. This will definitely effect the flavor of your food and when you burn it off, those burned up pieces can potentially contain carcinogens.

Here is a quote from Wikipedia on Carcinogens in prepared food-
"
Cooking food at high temperatures, for example grilling or barbecuing meats, can lead to the formation of minute quantities of many potent carcinogens that are comparable to those found in cigarette smoke (i.e., benzo[a]pyrene).[SUP][12][/SUP] Charring of food resembles coking and tobacco pyrolysis, and produces similar carcinogens.
"

This is why we recommend that your grill be fully cleaned at least 2x per year. If you go to our website, you will see a picture of a grill in which the hood appears to be peeling. That is not actually part of the hood, it is burnt residue that accumulates on the grill over time. Those pieces can flake off and end up on your food.
