Showcasing an all-American, medium-bodied blonde ale with a balanced malt-hop combination and a clean to dry finish.

Join us this Saturday for a release tour with the artist onsite to discuss his work and to sign these limited-edition cans.

Justin Gaffrey is a self-taught, locally and nationally known artist who challenges himself and the norms of art on a regular basis while also pushing the boundary at any chance he gets. His work studio is outfitted with a full metal and woodworking shop, creating free-standing sculptural works and sculptural paintings. Gaffrey’s work is loose and expressive but underplayed with intense study and practice. His work can be an emotional landscape of his home in northwest Florida, to life-size human skeletons, exposing a confused and beautiful life. While Gaffrey is primarily known for his heavily textured style of stacking layers of paint onto the canvas with a palette knife, his work is constantly changing like a moving target, making it difficult to pinpoint any particular genre or theme of art.

Justin Gaffrey Featured in Props Craft Brewery Artist Series

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. (August 23, 2019) – Justin Gaffrey will be the first local artist featured in Props Craft Brewery’s new Artist Series. Gaffrey’s iconic “Seascape” painting, which embodies the coastline from Pensacola to Apalachicola, will be wrapped around every can of the craft beer.

The beer will be released during an all-day tour on Saturday, August 24, 2019, with Gaffrey onsite to discuss his work and sign the limited-edition cans. The public is invited to mix and mingle with Gaffrey and the Props Craft Brewery team at each of the tour locations. The following local restaurants and establishments will be stops along the release tour:

• 10 a.m.-Noon – Modica Market
  
• 1-3 p.m. – Wine World in Watercolor
  
• 4-5 p.m. – Red Fish Taco
  
• 5-7 p.m. – Stinky’s Fish Camp

The Artist Series will be an ongoing series of beer labels released by Props throughout the year. The series will be distributed through local Anheuser-Busch company, Lewis Bear Co., in six-packs and on draft to various bars, restaurants and grocery markets throughout the Florida panhandle. Gaffrey’s particular artwork will be showcased around an all-American, medium-bodied blonde ale with a balanced malt-hop combination and a clean to dry finish. The beer is made for the craft drinker who is looking for an easy, all-day drinking, balanced ale, according to the brewery.

“When Props came to me with the Artist Series idea, I was very excited because they make great beer. As a true beer lover, it has been a dream of mine to have my own label created and see the vision come to life,” Gaffrey said.

Founded by two Air Force pilots, Props Craft Brewery was established in 2011 as a micro-brewery and brewpub in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and has grown to a 30-barrel brewhouse with the capacity to brew over 10,000 barrels of beer annually.
