For this year’s fundraiser coming up on April 20, the Seaside Repertory Theater will take us back in time to Prom Night. The event takes place at the Rosemary Beach Town Hall, from 7:00-11:00pm. Local candidates compete for the title of prom king and queen to be crowned that night. The king and queen are voted for via donations. Supporters can vote with their dollars on line and at various locations around South Walton. Whoever raises the most money wins, with proceeds going to benefit The REP.
Candidates for queen are Shelly Swanger, Jackie Ward, Shannon Day, Linda Miller, and Memori Spence. Candidates for king are Kevin Boyle, Bobby Johnson, Colby Mitchell, and Dread Clampitt's Balder Saunders.
The previous REP “prom” event, held at the Seaside Lyceum in 2008, was a resoundingly successful fundraiser for the REP. They’re hopeful this year’s competition will stir even more interest for their company, whose mission is to entertain and fire our imaginations.
