Blue Mtn Beach!!
I hear there is a potluck at Seaside Community Garden this Wed. It is also my understanding there is going to be music in Seaside starting @ 7.

Is this the band?

July 22: Big Sam's Funky Nation - Presiding over his Funky Nation is Big Sam, formerly the trombonist for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, who blows the funk out of his trombone and refuses to let the audience sit still. A talented group of jazz-trained musicians makes up the Funky Nation, bringing with them the improv-style associated with jazz and the horn-heavy front section that's the hallmark of big band funk.

Just trying to get myself organized and wondering if I need to bring chairs, etc....

Anyone been to one of these? If so, could you fill me in about details.

Thanks!

G

P.S.
Here's what I know:

5:30 - 7:30
at the
seaside community garden!

a perfect place to finally get together and enjoy not only the treats of the season, but also to appreciate the garden that has grown with such love!

FYI - there is live music in the amphitheatre starting at 7! it will be fun, this is also a good reason to walk, bike, or carpool if possible!

Yes, Big Sam is at 7 in the amphitheatre. Chairs, blankets, coolers, or eat and drink from Seaside food places.

It's not a vegetarian deal, the idea is to celebrate and share locally grown/harvested food, whether from your garden, the Gulf/Bay, or through purchses supporting local farmers (Seaside Saturday Market, Toni's in Grayton, For the Health of It in Blue Mt. Beach are 3 great suorces).

Even though it's not specifically vegetarian, the times I've been there are usually more veggie dishes than meaty ones. The food is always great, and the event tends to attract really fun and interesting folks!
