Picnic in the Park on Easter Sunday at Eden Gardens State Park
April 24, 2011, from 10am-2pm

Eden Gardens State Park and the Friends of Eden Gardens would like to invite everyone to Picnic in the Park on Easter Sunday. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch. The festivities will include live music courtesy of "Lucky Mud" and will also include a personal visit from the Easter Bunny. The Friends of Eden will be selling cupcakes. Parking inside the park is some what limited. Event is free; donations to the Friends of Eden Gardens are welcome and appreciated. To volunteer or for additional information call the park office.

Please note there will not be an Easter egg hunt at the Park this year.

no egg hunt????

no egg hunt at Eden this year. I don't know why, but my guess is that there are so many visitors to the park on Easter, with so many kids, it kind of grew too big to manage. That hunt was like a war zone with so many kids racing for the eggs, then they split it up into two different hunts: one for younger kids, and one for the older kids. Still, it was crazy.

The picnic in the park is the most amazing thing to do on Easter - especially with live music, even without the eggs. Easter Bunny will be there!
