New industry needed

This area needs a economic base to bring more stability, what would you like to see ? Some type of clean industry to bring good jobs is needed.

There is a serious military high wage-high tech sector in many a part of the Panhandle. I'd like to see an initiative to get Boeing, CSC, etc. basing civilian projects out of the area as well. There's been long term talk about a technology park near Eglin. Siphon off some of those folks and convince them to set up shop in Freeport because it's better primed for long term growth (south Okaloosa is effectively built out at this point)
