Need recs for fishing kayak

I want to buy a fishing kayak for my husband to surf fish in the Gulf. What's the lightest and best for this area?

Depends on how much you want to spend. If money is no option go with a new 2015 hobie PA for about $4500.
I use a wilderness systems tarpon 120 and catch the same fish for about $700

Thank you for replying, surferjoet! Been looking at some in between, hobie mirage, etc. Weight is an issue as we'll be carrying it up & down walk overs. He used a tandem kayak we had for years but want something w/pedals & rod holders, trying to stay away from extra weight

With the new 2015 hobies coming out, Craigslist is loaded with used mirage drive hobies for great prices. Good luck with the search.

Thanks! I'll look. My fav so far is mirage revolution 11 as it seems to be the lightest.

Yellowfin currently has 2015 model Revo 11 kayaks in every color; Dune, Blue, Red, Yellow, and Olive. Wheels to go under it also.
