[FONT="]Ray Cyr, professional drummer and a resident of the Santa Rosa Beach community, will be presenting “Purpose of the Drum in Music,” free of charge at the Coastal Branch Library, Dec. 12 and 19, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Cyr will both entertain and educate. He will demonstrate various drum techniques and introduce the musical role and inception of “The Little Drummer Boy.” [/FONT]
[FONT="]Ray and Lisa Cyr are owners of Studio 237 School of Music, located in their home studio in Santa Rosa Beach. They teach music literacy, the language of music and technical skills. [/FONT]
[FONT="]Ray started studying drum music in 1961 as the Little Drummer Boy. To date, he has appeared in more than 1,500 concerts and performances in 37 states. [/FONT]
