Music in Pictures: Rosemary Beach Foundation
"Out of the Classroom and Out on the Town"
MUSIC IN PICTURES is a year-long educational art initiative presented by Rosemary Beach Foundation. Created in collaboration with professional musicians and university faculty, the program is open to all students in grade K-12 in the Walton County school system–both public and private.
Fifteen Walton County Schools are participating in the 2014/2015 project.
This year, 365 paintings will be on display from March 9 – April 17 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Coastal Branch Library and Amavida in Rosemary Beach.
Now in its 4th year, Rosemary Beach Foundation partners with Walton County School District to promote creativity in the classroom as more than 2,500 students are asked to visually interpret selections from Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. The students' artwork is entered into a juried competition for public exhibition.
This year, 370 paintings are on display at 3 locations: Amavida Coffee - Rosemary Beach, The South Walton County Coastal Branch Library, and Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
