Michael Miller at age 19 is running for Walton County Commissioner District 5.
While he may be young, his youth brings energy, passion, and a drive to see
Walton County make changes for the better. Michael was inspired to run despite
his age after witnessing the results Destin’s Millennial Mayor, Bobby Wagner, has
achieved.

Michael has a family history that includes a well known young politician with his
mother’s side being directly related to Harry T. Burn (R). Harry became the
youngest member of Tennessee General Assembly at age 22. He is best known
for casting the deciding vote to ratify the 19th amendment to the United States
Constitution, which granted women the right to vote.

Michael has made it known that: He will never stop fighting for public access to
the beaches; He will focus on efficient and effective improvements to
infrastructure county wide; He will focus on enhancing quality of life for locals
and tourists alike; He will work to ensure that growth is strategic, sustainable,
and beneficial for residents; He will focus on improvements for parks and
recreation throughout Walton County; He believes local small businesses are the
foundation of Walton County and will continue to support them.
