Ahoy, Mateys! Tickets are on sale now for the 2nd Annual Princess and Pirate Ball. This family-friendly gala event is fun for all ages. No need for a babysitter - your entire family is invited to wear their best princess and pirate costumes.
Join us at Linkside Sandestin on Saturday, May 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. as the ballroom is transformed into a magical land of adventure for the kids to explore. A treasure hunt will lead the children on a search for pirate's booty, and plenty of princesses and pirates will be on deck for character pictures. Princesses in attendance can twirl the night away on the dance floor, and a feast fit for royalty will be served, including a special buffet just for the kids.
The enchanted evening includes a children's costume contest where the Best Princess and Best Pirate plus a parent will win a ride on a float in the Billy Bowlegs Torchlight Parade on May 31. Contestants will be judged based on authenticity, creativity and originality of the costume and character name. Each princess must be the ruler of a kingdom, and all pirates should be prepared to bellow a favorite pirate phrase.
Parents have the chance to take home a bit of treasure too! A silent auction and raffle items will be available throughout the evening. Loot for you to plunder includes jewelry, gym memberships, theme park tickets, toys and designer purses. Advance tickets are $99 for a family of four, or $20 for children and $40 for adults. An additional $10 per ticket will be charged for tickets purchased at the door.
