The Walton County Master Gardeners will host the seventh in a series of lectures for local gardeners. It will be on Wednesday, May 2nd from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The location is the Coastal Branch Extension Office at 70 Logan Lane in Grayton Beach, off CR 283 – just north of the 4 way stop.
Carl Henderson will present a program on growing daylilies. He is a former President of the Master Gardeners Association and current President of the Choctawhatchee Hemerocallis Society. He will cover fertilization, culture, sun requirements, propagation, and hybridization. Daylilies are eye-catching, durable perennial plants which are available in many colors and varieties. You will want to find a place for these in your garden.
Light refreshments will be served. Soil testing supplies and instruction will be available and Master Gardeners will be on hand to take your gardening questions. This program is free and open to the public. However, seating is limited to 30 participants.
Call Cheryl at 850-892-8172 to reserve a place.
