Good morning,
I have watched the ads on this forum from businesses (and internet job websites) post and re-post for the same positions. Many of these ads are quite lengthly for job descriptions that get longer with each re-post. May I offer the managers and business owners an alternative? We are not born understanding how to be a manager or a business owner. Having experience as a consumer, is not the same as owning a business. It doesn't translate.
If you find yourself doing the following: too much correction, yelling, getting upset, high turnover,
not happy with your employees. It's time to change your management style. It's not always a "bad employee".
Do you want to do better? Then please DM on this forum. I am offering a management skills service to help you with your business to build a more pleasant and sane workplace.
Yes, I am a small business owner myself. I have used my own principals with great success.
There is another issues with this area - the cost of living. An employee who is paid $15 an hour can only truly afford a $750 apartment or mortgage. Why should anyone "stay forever" or long term. However, while they are working for you - the work should reflect well on your business.
A better workplace builds a better community,
With kind regards,
Ms. Tricia Keffer
