Does anyone know why all along 30a the only chair option rented to people is the wooden chairs? Is there a zoning restriction? I love the look of this type of chair, but all the ones we have sat in (Sea Oats, Watercolor, Cabanaman at Seaside, The Pearl, etc.) - have been the most uncomfortable chair design for full days at the beach or naps. Other beach destinations we have visited along the Gulf Coast have more comfortable teak+cushion/lie-flat loungers, granted they don't look as nice and classic. I was just curious why this is the only design rented all along 30a. Didn't know if aesthetics over comfort was a regulation for rentals to keep a certain "look" along the beach?

Of course chair quality is an acceptable trade-off for the beauty here and decreased crowds!

My simplistic guess is that the beach lounges, at other beaches, that you are referring to, are permanently stationed. They are much too heavy to be moved everyday. The beach chairs you see on South Walton Beaches are set up and taken down almost daily.
