Quest Hospitality Concepts is actively seeking a line cook to join the team at their new refined sports tavern, Scout, opening in the summer of 2025. Scout is located adjacent to the scenic Highway 30A and will offer an elevated yet approachable full-service dining experience. Scout embodies the playful spirit and excitement of the sporting world, coupled with an established club feel that evokes both timelessness and familiarity.
Line cooks will have the opportunity to work and learn under James Beard Award-winning chef and Executive Chef/Director of Culinary Tory McPhail.
An experienced line cook must excel in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, demonstrating skill, resilience, adaptability, discipline, and a willingness to learn. Line cook is task-oriented and driven to provide exceptional results and service in the kitchen.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality across all areas of food preparation and cooking
- Meeting all restaurant recipes and standards to ensure the best guest experience
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace at all times, cleaning and sanitizing tools and equipment daily
- Upholding all standards of regulatory food-safety protocol (i.e., proper sanitization, appropriate handling of food, avoiding cross-contamination, accurate labeling/dating, etc.)
- Reporting directly to Executive Chef/Director of Culinary Tory McPhail; must be open to receiving feedback and making quick adjustments as needed
- Previous fine dining and restaurant experience is preferred
- Understanding of culinary terminology and language; must have an astute ability to communicate effectively with other staff in the kitchen
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm and professional while under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of meal tickets during service
- Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment including, but not limited to, grills, fryers, ovens, stovetops, etc.
- Ability to pick up and learn new skills, including specialized cooking techniques
- Willingness to work at peak hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Act in accordance with The Citizen guidelines
- Good attitude and passion for providing high-quality service
- Constant standing and walking
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crawling
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
- Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work
- Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas through oral communication
