That's SO great! My boys were so into this LEGO Robotics thing. They even did a demo at our local library for the kids and they were so interested! Great way to have fun while learning!!

Thanks for sharing!

That's great!

I wish they had programs like that around here for kids to get them interested in computer science. Starting the upcoming academic year, we will be teaching an intro to computer science course in which the students learn Java by programming robots in Java. Georgia Tech has a course like this. Hopefully this will attract more students.

My son-in-law got a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in May. He starts his Ph.D. program there in a few weeks, working as a research assistant in the robotics lab as he did while an undergrad. So it goes without saying that he loves robotics!

Due to popular demand, we have opened up another summer camp session for children ages 6-8 interested in Lego Robotics. The class runs July 26 0 July 30 from 1:00 - 4:00. Cost is $80 members or $90 for non-members. Class size limited to 12 students.

Please call 664-1261 ext 204 to register.

I hope you will continue to offer weekend lego classes through the school year - including robotics. The instructor had mentioned possibly starting a new local group to do this regularly - not sure what that would entail - but we're interested.

can't do the camp that week but my little boy would love to come to another class on a Saturday if you continue to offer.
