Lego Classes at the Emerald Coast Science Center

We are pleased to announce the second offering of our extremely popular Lego Classes. Four the next four months, we will have classes once a month for children in grades 3-6. These three hour classes will use Lego kits and motors to teach about simple machines and basic engineering skills. In January and March we also have two one hour classes for children in grades 1-2 using the WeDo Lego Robotics kits. In these classes children build simple robots and use the Lego software to control their movements and actions.

All classes run from 9:00 - 12:00

Lego Construction

Create structures and learn about physics and engineering in a fun and interactive way. This class will teach you about simple machines and the basics of engineering. Using LEGOS, you will build the simple machines and learn how each one works. Each class concludes with a challenge activity.

WeDo Lego Robotics

Lego WeDo Robotics class uses an easy-to-use set that introduces young children to robotics. Participants will build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors and program their models using the LEGO Education WeDo Robotics Software. Age:
