Job Title: Kindergarten to Third Grade Homeschool Teacher (Private Household)
Location: Freeport, FL (in home)
Schedule: Part-Time (M-TH from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm; F is TBD)
Start Date: Monday, December 01, 2026
Compensation: Starting at $20/hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and creative Kindergarten Homeschool Teacher to provide a high-quality, personalized educational experience for our (2) boys in a home-based learning environment. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and thrives in a one-on-one or small group setting. We also welcome experienced homeschooling mothers with children aged 3 to 7.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a well-rounded kindergarten curriculum that aligns with age-appropriate developmental milestones and academic standards
• Teach core subjects including early literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts
• Incorporate play-based and hands-on learning activities to foster curiosity and engagement
• Track progress, assess learning, and adjust instruction based on individual needs
• Provide a nurturing, safe, and structured learning environment
• Foster social-emotional development and positive behavior
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, curriculum, and any concerns
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Prior experience teaching or homeschooling at the kindergarten or early elementary level
• Familiarity with kindergarten learning standards and child development principles
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Patient, creative, organized, and enthusiastic about working with young children
• Ability to design engaging lessons tailored to a child's interests and learning style
Preferred:
• Montessori, Waldorf, or Reggio Emilia experience
• Experience integrating outdoor or nature-based learning
• Bilingual or multilingual is a plus
• Teaching credentials or homeschooling experience in your state
