To further our community's commitment to protecting and preserving our quality of life and environment, the Walton County Tourism Department established Keep Walton County Beautiful in 2024 as an official affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. The preservation of Walton County’s natural landscapes allows residents and visitors to enjoy the area for generations to come.

Keep Walton County Beautiful took an active role in the Main Street DeFuniak Springs Clean Up, reflecting their mission to promote environmental stewardship and enhance community spaces. Volunteers enthusiastically engaged in a variety of activities, including picking up litter to maintain the town's aesthetic appeal, repurposing plants to support sustainable landscaping, and painting over faded surfaces to rejuvenate public areas. These efforts were in perfect alignment with Keep Walton County Beautiful's mission to foster cleaner, greener, and more vibrant communities. By contributing to this event, the organization not only beautified DeFuniak Springs but also strengthened community bonds and showcased their dedication to creating lasting positive change.
