Come out and join beach-loving locals and the Walton County Tourist Development Council for the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup 2014 on Saturday, SEPT 20, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. We can all help keep South Walton's beaches clean and pristine!

Saturday, Sept 20 | 9am - 12pm

Join us at the following beach access locations:

Van Ness Butler Jr.
Dune Allen
Ed Walline
Blue Mountain
Inlet Beach
Gulf View Heights
Miramar Beach

Lake Powell Beach Clean up at Camp Helen and Lake Powell Park

The Lake Powell Community Alliance (LPCA) invites you to join them in a community effort to celebrate and beautify Lake Powell, a rare coastal dune lake located in western Bay County and eastern Walton County, SEPT 20 from 8am-2pm.

Registration for the cleanup will be from 8-9am. Participants may register at Lake Powell Park (boat ramp) or Camp Helen State Park. The shoreline cleanup will last until noon.

Gear Provided: Vinyl gloves, garbage bags, and data cards.
Bring: Closed toed shoes, hat, sunscreen, 'grabber', and work gloves.

Also, bring your boat, canoe, kayak or paddleboard and join the armada of cleanup crews (life jacket and whistle required).

Participate at Two Locations:
Lake Powell Park | 23104 Lakeview Drive, Panama City Beach
Camp Helen State Park | 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach

I have done clean ups in the past.

I'm done with that after this years season.

Tourists need to clean up after themselves.

Tourists need to clean up after themselves.

It needs to be something you truly want to do and believe in... Do it with happiness because you want to and because you care.

If you don't want to do, then that's cool. It is't only tourists leaving their trash. And the trash is sometimes washed up from other areas.

The goal is to keep our beaches and water clean. YES, we need much more effort, I do agree.
