Make plans to attend Justin Gaffrey's AbsurdForm Art Exhibit on Thursday, November 9 at Justin Gaffrey Gallery in Blue Mountain Beach (5-8pm).
The AbsurdForm exhibit will showcasee the latest art pieces that relate to Justin's reflections of the human condition. The exhibition, small bites and adult beverages are complimentary and open to the public.
There will also be a piece of Justin's art that will be silently auctioned off during the evening and posters for sale to benefit the Food For Thought Outreach Inc. Also supporting Food For Thought at the event are Grayton Beer Company and Visit South Walton.
There will also be an exciting announcement made at the art opening and a special offering for those who attend. Please stay tuned for more updates coming your way about this unique event of art and giving.
Beginning with “folk art” style works, Justin soon moved to a much more textured impressionistic style of work. He credits a viewing of Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” as the epiphany that sent him searching for a medium and a technique that would allow him to achieve the deeply textured work he crafts today.
Justin’s experience with art has come full circle to his serene Blue Mountain Beach gallery where he still lives and works and creates things that make him happy. This includes contemporary works as well as commissioned pieces for collectors using the sculpting-with-paint technique that he is so well known for. His work is now widely collected and graces venues throughout the United States.
Justin’s work is displayed in many places along the Emerald Coast including the Sacred Heart Hospital, WaterColor Inn, Great Southern Cafe and the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Panama City Beach.
