Hello,

We just moved here from Navarre. I used pensacloa pediatrics and loved to use Dr. Kline. I am looking for a peditrician that is closer now.

I looked into several in the area but they are all adiment about refusing to see you if your kids are not up to date on shots. I am know this can be a touchy subject and I am not anti vaccine but I don't believe in giving so many shots to infants. So my 3 year old is not up to date on the government vaccine schedule but has had some shots spread out. My 8 year old is up to date but is probably due for more soon and I will not be getting multiple shots when she is due.

So anyone here know of any pediatricians that will see your kids if you are not up to date on shot schedules?

Thanks

IF you are interested, the Walton County Health Department offers vaccinations. They are located next to the library on 331S.
We use Dr. Allan in Destin. He's part of the White Wilson group on Airport Road. Really like him.

Give up the 'pediatricians' and check out Chinese Medicine with the Tortiose clinic. I've been using them for 10 years now and my kids have been healthier than when we used to use 'pediatricians' who wanted to perscribe, perscribe, perscribe. (No offense to those who are hands on doctors out there!)

We also use Dr Brian at The Family Chiropractic center in Grayton, but I have friends who use Dr Payne in Destin. Both very hands on, holistic, natural approach to staying healthy for the whole family.
And Kudos to you for doing your homework on immunizations! You are not alone as you probably already know. Informed decisions in all we do is key! We all make different decisions, but being informed on both sides is the place to start.

Thanks for the info

I will have to use the health dept to get a religious exemption to get the blue card for school. I know they aren't going to like it and will probably even challenge me on it.

Thanks for the support. I am glad to know I am not alone and not had to read any flamming responses. yet

I know vaccines have helped historically but there is much policy and money involved in vaccinations today. I could go on and on for pros and cons.

Again I think each individual can make the right choice for their kids and none of the choices are wrong vaccinate or not or spread the vaccinations out.

Thanks
