What is more patriotic than a July 4th parade? Seaside's early morning parade has been a "must" for many years, and the Democratic Party has always shown up -- even in those years when being a Democrat was not the popular thing to be. Later in the day, many members drove to DeFuniak Springs and made an appearance in that fun event.
This year promises to be even more entertaining. Patriotic umbrellas have been donated, and club members and others plan to march in the style of the Second Line parades made famous in New Orleans. They will pass out Obama stickers, flags, candy, and other items from Democratic candidates. Click on the link to the Women's Club for complete information.
