Exhibitions feature works of art in various media, with prominence given to painting and sculpture, but where traditional materials are utilized in unconventional ways. It is the unlimited possibilities inherent in art-making that incite our curiosity and motivate our work. With the creative process at the fore, it is our hope to engage and inspire.

Tonight's Jewels of 30A Art Show Opening is the first event of South Walton Community Council's 10th Back to Nature Festival. This year BTN joined with The Hidden Lantern Gallery in Rosemary Beach, to host a unique art show & sale. Working with Marsha Anderson, chairperson of Walton County's Coastal Dune Lake Advisory Board, we challenged our local artisits to create a piece inspired by our Coastal Dune Lakes. As you know, Walton County is privileged to be the home of 15 of these globally rare & imperiled jewels. Come out tonight, meet the artists and see how they have interpreted them. You will also meet the juror of this show, Richard Sexton, noted fine art and media photographer whose work has been published and exhibited worldwide. A portion of the proceeds will go to help support South Walton Community Council, so add to your art collection while helping to protect what we enjoy everyday!

Established in 2010, The Hidden Lantern Gallery is committed to the visibility of local and regional emerging artists. The gallery is located at 84 N. Barrett Square in Rosemary Beach.
