"Jewels of 30A" Art Exhibit - September 26 - October 29, 2011
Meet the Artists / 30A Style book signing: October 7, 5-7pm
South Walton Community Council & The Hidden Lantern Gallery are pleased to announce “Jewels of 30A”, a juried art show inspired by our Coastal Dune Lakes.
As part of the10th Annual Back to Nature Festival, SWCC and The Hidden Lantern Gallery would like to invite you to the Jewels of 30A art show. This exhibition & sale, will feature 28 works from local artists, inspired by our globally rare and imperiled Coastal Dune Lakes. The show will run from September 26th through October 29th. The exhibit is free and open to the public during normal business hours. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the South Walton Community Council.
On October 7th, from 5-7pm, come and meet the artists who created these pieces, as well as, photographer Richard Sexton, who also served as juror for the show. You won’t want to miss this unique exhibition and see how the artists visually interpret our magnificent Coastal Dune Lakes.
The adjoining bookstore will also be holding a book signing by Lynn Nesmith, author of 30A Style, on the same night from 5-7pm.
About The Hidden Lantern Gallery
Established in 2010, The Hidden Lantern Gallery is committed to the visibility of local and regional emerging artists. Exhibitions feature works of art in various media, with prominence given to painting and sculpture, but where traditional materials are utilized in unconventional ways. It is the unlimited possibilities inherent in art-making that incite our curiosity and motivate our work. With the creative process at the fore, it is our hope to engage and inspire.
