ECMS speaker to demonstrate how to ‘Tap Into Your Healing Power’ “Tapping Into Your Healing Power” is the title of a talk to be given at the Emerald Coast Meditation Society on Thursday, Jan. 19. Speaking will be Colleen Gay of Northfield, Minn. The ECMS meets at 6:30 p.m. at 480 N. Co. Hwy. 393, Santa Rosa Beach, one-half mile north of Hwy. 98. The meeting, open to the public without charge, begins with 30 minutes of silent meditation. Colleen Gay is an educator and trainer who in 2004 discovered a self-help energy healing technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). She subsequently qualified as a certified EFT practitioner and has worked with hundreds of people, many by telephone. She teaches them how EFT can help them reduce stress, physical pain and illness, and add another dimension to their spiritual practice. She will talk about how to use tapping on acupressure points on the body to relieve a specific physical pain or illness, instill healthy habits, improve sleep, and infuse one’s daily spiritual practice with focused energy. She will demonstrate the technique and teach audience members how to do it on themselves. Gay and her husband formerly lived in south Walton County and now spend their winters there. The ECMS is an ecumenical group that meets on the first and third Thursdays. The evening will end around 8 p.m. with a short guided meditation. Anyone who would like meditation instruction should come at 6:15 p.m. Questions? Contact Nancy James, nancyjames@embarqmail.com. Event website: |
