International Coastal Cleanup South Walton / Area Locations Sept 15

International Coastal Cleanup returns to South Walton on Saturday, September 15th from 9-11 am. This year Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles and Walton County will be hosting the event at 5 Regional Beach Access points with easily available parking, bathrooms and easy boardwalk access to the beach.

Our community is joining forces with millions of people world wide to clean shores. It's a really Big Deal and we invite you to join us in this massive effort to improve our beach environment which will help protect our marine life and natural coastal settings.

Participants will get an International Coastal Cleanup t-shirt with Puffer on the front, be provided a trash bag and gloves, and send you on your way to clean up our beautiful Emerald Coast Beaches.

Come out to a park near you and let's work together to make our beaches litter free!

TOPSAIL HILL PRESERVE STATE PARK
International Coastal Cleanup at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
Saturday, September 15 from 9:15 am to 11:30 am
Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park on International Coastal Cleanup Day for a beach cleanup on September 15, 2018 from 9:15a.m. - 11:30a.m. Help keep the beach safe for the threatened and endangered species that call the beach home by minimizing the impact of marine debris on the beach and in the Gulf. To register as a beach cleanup volunteer please call 850-267-8330 and provide your name, email address, phone number and number of people coming.

Volunteer check in is at Tram Stop #3 (after the 9am tram arrives). Volunteers need to bring hat, sunscreen and water bottle and dress appropriately for the weather. Gloves, trash bags and buckets will be provided.

THE CRAB TRAP
International Coastal Cleanup at The Crab Trap

The Crab Trap: 1450 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32548
The Okaloosa County Tourist Development Dept. in collaboration with Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, Saltwater Restaurants, Inc. S.E.A. campaign, and Fedex are hosting a beach cleanup on Saturday, September 15th from 8-10am at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. This free family-friendly event will feature prizes for the most cigarette butts collected, a tag an eco-buddy photo contest, and information sessions provided by the Choctawhatchee Basic Alliance all in a safe and fun beach-front environment. You can now pre-register for this event at:
International Coastal Beach Clean Up

Please take a minute to pre-register as it will save time at the event and allow us to make sure we have enough supplies (and breakfast!) for everyone attending.

Registration day of the event will begin at 8 am on the deck under The Crab Trap. Please ensure that you do register for the cleanup as volunteers will be straying into the military land along the beachfront. All cleanup materials will be provided, including gloves, bags, and water for hydrating.

The Crab Trap will provide complimentary breakfast of pancakes, sausage, bacon, orange juice, and coffee after the cleanup to all volunteers.
